Congratulations!

Now the real work begins.

We still have a Republican House, and a thin lead in the Senate.

We have an electorate that's highly polarized.

That's the difficult part.

We also have an electorate that is highly ENGAGED, and paying attention. As we Democrats raise a toast to celebrate, we need also to raise our discussion, and try to find common ground with our fellow citizens.

This is the time to try to work on the things that we do agree on. We need to work together with our fellow citizens to pressure our elected leaders of all parties to do the work they were elected for.

Additionally, this is the time that we need to seek to build, strengthen, and sharpen our local organizations.
