Daniel --

As I travel around Illinois' 13th district, I spend a lot of time talking with students at our nine colleges and universities. Just this week, I sat down with recent graduates who told me their number one concern -- paying down their mountains of student loan debt.

You see, Illinois students face an average of $25,000 in student loan debts. And with House Republicans like Rodney Davis in power, this burden continues to grow.

It pained me when Davis joined Paul Ryan to charge interest to students while they are still in school. And as a resident of the 13th district -- home to nine colleges and universities -- it angered me when Davis voted to cut Pell Grants for Illinois students.

Daniel, we can't stand by as Rodney Davis and House Republicans vote to increase the cost of higher education. That's why I need you to join me in demanding they take immediate action to protect our students and make college more affordable.

Receiving a high-quality education can open doors and give students the opportunity to succeed. Please, make sure everyone in Illinois can afford to go to college.
