Israeli breeding facility Mazer Farm was planning on transporting 90 macaque monkeys to Texas for degenerative arthritis experiments via El-Al Airlines. Thanks to work done by Care2 member Yuval Ron, El-Al Airlines announced that they would refrain from transporting the monkeys. 
The Zadroga Act of 2011 is a $3.4 billion fund that covers the medical costs of people suffering from respiratory illnesses linked to exposure to the aftermath of September 11. Now, U.S. health officials have ruled to also cover more than 50 types of cancers. 
Dogs in Brazil, a rescue group, has won a $5,000 first place prize in a contest run by Australian investment firm Sunsuper. "We won," exclaimed Dogs in Brazil founder Janice Cabral. "We could not have done it without the Care2 audience." 
Both the House and Senate approved a bill maintaining the current student loan interest rate instead of doubling it. More than 40,000 of you signed petitions urging Congress to stop student loans from doubling. You spoke and the federal government listened!
