Disney is promoting its part-time employees at Disney World to full-time so they'll get healthcare benefits under the Affordable Care Act.

Thank Walt Disney Co. for putting its workers first.

 Daniel,

Walt Disney Co. is offering full-time employment to the 427 part-timers at Disney World who work at least 30 hours a week — giving them guaranteed health benefits as part of the Affordable Care Act.

While Papa John's and Forever 21 are cutting hours and slashing benefits, Disney's move puts workers rights first — and if we generate a huge show of support for it, we'll push other companies to do the same.

Thank Disney for promoting part-time workers and working to get them benefits.

The more companies that use the Affordable Care Act's mandate to expand worker hours and increase benefits, the less others can get away with cheating employees — and the less critics can claim Obamacare creates a part-time economy or discourages hiring.

Counter the critics and turn the tide against greedy corporate cuts: Thank Disney for promoting workers and embracing the Affordable Care Act's benefits mandate now.

Thanks for all that you do,
Claiborne and the rest of us.
