I support a constitutional amendment to overturn the U.S. Supreme Court’s anti-democratic McCutcheon v. FEC and Citizens United v. FEC Rulings.

Daniel--

The corporate wing of the Supreme Court handed down another outrageous ruling last week giving corporate CEOs and the top 1% even more power to sway our elections and reduce our voice.

Join our friends at Public Citizen to call for a constitutional amendment overturning Citizens United, McCutcheon and related cases.

The ruling in McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission means the super-rich can dole out up to $5.9 million — the limit had been $123,000 — per election cycle to political candidates and parties.

This wildly anti-democratic ruling compounds the court’s 2010 Citizens United debacle, which permitted corporations to spend literally as much as they want trying to tilt elections toward candidates who will serve as their puppets. This is a big step in the right-wing campaign to turn our democracy into a government of, by, and for the super-rich.

It is up to us to fight back and create a democracy that works for all of us. Sign here to join the call for a constitutional amendment overturning Citizens United, McCutcheon and related cases.

Thanks,

Ross Wallen
