Dear Daniel,
Great news! We now have a little more time to urge members of Congress to sign an important letter circulating about the National Park System's centennial. This letter will help send a stronger message to the president that the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service is important and deserves a truly meaningful initiative. We need as many bipartisan members of Congress to sign this as possible, so please take action TODAY!

Dear Daniel,
In just three years, the nation will mark the 100th anniversary of the creation of the modern National Park System.
Since 1916, our park system has grown to include not only the most splendid examples of America's unsurpassed natural and scenic heritage, but also the special places, artifacts, and stories of our nation's birth, our struggles and triumphs as a people, and the shared values that unite us. Ask your members of Congress to do more to recognize this special occasion by reinvesting in our national parks.
Support for national parks is a love affair that spans geographic region, ethnic background, age, economic circumstances, and political persuasion. It is one of the few things on which overwhelming majorities of the American people still agree. The park system's centennial is a perfect opportunity for decision-makers in Washington to work together on bold, creative, and far-reaching initiatives that will reinvigorate these beloved places for all of us to be inspired by, to learn from, and to enjoy into their second century of service. Take Action: Tell your senators and representative to sign on to a letter to President Obama in support of the upcoming national park centennial. With their support, we can universally celebrate 100 years of national parks and prepare the system for another century of service to the American people. Thank you for taking the time to contact Congress, and for all you do to support our national parks!
Sincerely,
John Garder Budget & Appropriations Legislative Representative Share this on Facebook Share this on Twitter | |
