Preschool 2013-2014
York Center Park District's preschool program has over 30 years of experience educating
young children. These classes are designed to develop classroom and social skills
that will prepare children for kindergarten. Children participate in a variety of
developmentally appropriate activities including stories, music, arts and crafts,
games, free play and computers. These activities coincide with special daily themes
and enhance gross and fine motor development.
2's & 3's Preschool
Your child must be 2 ½ by September 1, 2013 to be eligible to enroll. Birth certificates
required upon registration. We hope a parent can stay and join us for the first

Kids Klub
Join us every Thursday this summer for some lunchtime entertainment. These interactive
children's shows are a great free way to spend a summer afternoon. A variety of
well-known acts will perform. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to our back patio/grass
area. Refreshments and food will be available for purchase. Concession stand will
open at 11:30am. Performances are from 12:00-1:00pm.
David Fisher The Rope Warrior
August 8
David lives in the Chicago area but has been performing all over the world for the
last 20 years. Career highlights include: Performances for Boris Yeltsin in Russia,
and for Presidents Clinton and Bush. He has made over 100 national television appearances
and currently holds two world records. Ripley's Believe It or Not! recognizes David
as The World's Best Rope Jumper, and he is scheduled to be nominated for induction
into the Fitness Hall of Fame this year. His visually entertaining, and very interactive
Ropenastics Show is perfect for all ages!

After School Recreation
Children who attend participating schools in District 45 (York Center, Stevenson,
Westmore, and Ardmore) and District 44 (Manor Hill) will be picked up by bus and
transported back to York Center Park District each day after school. The After
School Recreation program is a fun place to make friends, play games, create fun
crafts, work as a team, and receive help with homework. Children are provided a
snack each day as well. Each week is given a theme that the activities are planned
around. The list of themes can be found in the ASR packet, which can be picked up
at the front desk in the beginning of August. There is a one-time $25 registration
fee per family.
This program follows the District 45 school schedule.

Celebrate the beginning of the school year at the York Center Park District. We
will make a key chain for our back pack, have pizza for lunch and have relay races
at the park.

Come join us as we learn the basics of flag football. The program is a fast-paced,
non-contact game. We follow York Center's Flag Football rules and all participants
will be instructed with an emphasis on safety.
