Dear Daniel,

Take Action: Thank Your Senators for a Clean Budget.

The Senate's recent passage of the budget resolution showed, once again, that the majority of Congress and the American public support cleaning up dirty pollution from power plants.

The dirty air lobby attempted to load up the bill with amendments that would block vital EPA protections including the Carbon Pollution Standard and the Mercury and Air Toxics Standard.

But your Senator stood strong in the face of this attack. Take Action: Thank your Senator for refusing to use the budget to deprive our children, seniors, and families of these necessary health protections.

A majority of voters believe we should be doing more to curb pollution and address climate change. Yet these dirty energy amendments would have cut vital funding to EPA enforcements of life saving clean air and climate protections, putting Americans' health at risk while giving billions away to the dirty air lobby.

Americans want clean air and clean energy, and they deserve a clean budget that reflects those priorities.

Pleas thank Illinois's Senator for voting for a clean budget and against amendments that would have prevented the EPA from protecting us from dirty air pollution.

Heather ShelbyThank you for your activism and support,
