Dear supporters:
Unfortunately, Enbridge won eminent domain to build their pipeline from Flanagan to Patoka, which could potentially carry tar sand oil. But the citizens of central Illinois are still fighting back! If you live near Bloomington, Illinois, please consider attending this action against the Enbridge pipeline.

Action Alert: Stop the Enbridge Pipeline!

When: Thursday, June 5th – 5:30 PM

Where: The Chateau; 1601 Jumer Drive; park and enter the Conference Center doors on South side (back side) of the Chateau.

What: Action! Enbridge public informational meeting.

We don't want an Enbridge tar sands pipeline coming through Illinois. Enbridge is holding public informational meetings throughout central Illinois to reassure the public that the pipeline is safe. But know this: Enbridge is still cleaning up their oil spill in the Kalamazoo River in Michigan from 2010. That's a risk we can't take. This new pipeline will cross over and under multiple waterways which provide our water supply. We say, "Water safety before oil profits!"

We believe the event will be set up with "informational stations". Please come at 5:30 pm to ask questions--your own or those on the attached handout--and record the answers the Enbridge representatives give you.

Please call or drop us an e-mail if you plan to attend: (309) 827-9627; admin@illinoispeoplesaction.org

This is sure to be a fun action you won't want to miss.

For more information, call the IPA office.

Thanks for all that you do!
