It's official, Daniel. Late yesterday afternoon, the Senate passed a bipartisan budget deal.

But final numbers still need to get sorted (and really soon) - and we all know the devil's in the details.

Send your senator a message right now and ask them not to cut global poverty-fighting programs in this budget.

-----ORIGINAL MESSAGE-----

Congress is voting on a budget deal.
But we have work to do.
Send your senator a message now.

Did you see the news, Daniel? Congress is about to vote on a bipartisan budget deal.

This is big news, but here's why we need you to send a letter to your senator right now:

In case you didn't know, your senator is on the Senate Appropriations Committee. It's this committee that will decide where the money goes or where the money gets cut - and your senator could be the one that decides whether or not to fund the global poverty-fighting programs we fight for every day.

Send your senator a message right now and urge them not to cut budget programs that fight AIDS, tackle global hunger and help millions around the world pull themselves out of extreme poverty for good. Your letter could be the one that makes them decide to stand up for this life-saving funding.

And they're headed home on Friday for the holidays, so we don't have much time.

We'll let you know what happens. Thanks for all your help.
