Ohio Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown is key to preventing war with Iran.
In defiance of the Obama Administration, New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez has introduced a bill that would impose new sanctions on Iran and kill President Obama's diplomacy. Ten Democratic Senate committee chairs have written to Majority Leader Reid, warning that the Menendez bill would blow up U.S. diplomacy with Iran. As the Administration has told Senators, if the Senate blows up diplomacy, military force will be the only tool left to restrict Iran's nuclear program.
So far, Sherrod Brown has refused to sign the Menendez bill. But he's sure to come under extreme pressure to do so. If Senator Brown caves to this pressure, it would seriously undermine President Obama, because Senator Brown is seen nationally as a progressive champion.
Show Senator Brown that you support his refusal to sign the anti-diplomacy Menendez bill. Sign our petition to Senator Brown:
