Daniel,

Thanks to you, we just delivered 375,000 petitions in Florida yesterday.

That's 375,000 voices standing up against Florida's reckless "Stand Your Ground" law.  375,000 voices fighting for our communities and for safer, more sensible gun laws.

I wanted to take a moment and share with you a few photos from the event so you can see for yourself what we've been able to accomplish together.

Here's a short slideshow of the remarkable delivery.

This amazing event came on the heels of forward progress across America that you're helping to make possible.

We took a big step forward in Louisiana with passage of a law requiring a full investigation whenever self-defense is claimed in a death due to violence or suspicious circumstances.  Under Louisiana's Shoot First law, a person can no longer claim self-defense and walk away from a crime scene without further investigation for homicide.

Meanwhile, laws that would reform or repeal a Shoot First law have been introduced in Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina and South Carolina.  And since we began our citizens' protest, bills that would establish or expand Shoot First laws in eight other states have been stalled.

It won't be easy to turn around these reckless laws.  But, together, we're moving forward.

Thanks for all you do.  And I look forward to continuing to work together with you in the days and weeks ahead.
