Read it and scream. Can you believe this?

"
Kathy Nickolaus, the Waukesha clerk, apologized for the uncounted votes and blamed "human error."
She said at a news conference that she had failed to properly save a spreadsheet showing one town's voting results.
"

Spreadsheet? You mean an electronic file designed explicitly for the purpose of manipulating information? Let's not even mention the fact that computers, period were designed for the purpose of manipulation large quantities of information. What they are doing anywhere near U. S. elections is beyond disgusting.

On top of that, there's this:

http://www.jsonline.com/news/waukesha/100595954.html

To quote:

"Waukesha — Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus' decision to go it alone in how she collects and maintains election results has some county officials raising a red flag about the integrity of the system.
Nickolaus said she decided to take the election data collection and storage system off the county's computer network - and keep it on stand-alone personal computers accessible only in her office - for security reasons."

Uh-huh. Yeah, riiiiight. 7,500+ votes just magically "found".

Sorry, but I smell rotten, dead fish all over this.

All the best,

Dan
