...which is just horrible in my view. It's crystal clear that what we've been doing on the economic front for the past 30 years is a totally bankrupt policy.
Globalization without equal worker rights across the planet, letting domestic wages stagnate, ignoring critical infrastructure needs and upgrades, bailing out on a true renaissance in mass transit and bicycle-friendly roadway design, cutting the security rug from beneath workers, failing to invest adequately in education and research, the list goes on and on. A budget of pessimism results in an economy with no true purchasing power and no demand. We MUST change to an "invest for growth" re-economic philosophy. Continuous gradual retreat will only wind up in defeat. - Dan
